Alice Orzechowski, CPA, CMA, EA

Alice Orzechowski is a Wealth Transfer Research and Planning Consultant with Ross & Moncure, a public accounting firm in Alexandria, VA.

Alice Orzechowski was born and raised in Washington, DC. She holds BS degrees in Economics and Accounting from the University of Maryland, and an MS in Administration and Management from Hood College. She is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, and Enrolled Agent. Alice has provided advice on tax-related matters in The Washington Post, The Frederick News Post, and in various AARP publications, and on Wall Street Journal Radio, CNN and Today’s Woman Television.

Alice earned the CPA accreditation in 1976, and over the course of her 40-year career has developed a wealth of tax-related knowledge. She is published on the topic of tax planning for college expenses, and is a recognized expert on inter-generational wealth transfer. Alice manages Ross & Moncure’s estate and trust work, helping to arrange and distribute assets in a tax-efficient manner and to draft wealth transfer plans. She is also well-versed in federal and local corporate tax laws, and advises hundreds of clients on corporate tax strategy.

Alice and her husband Scott live in the mountains on Caprikorn Farm, where they raise award-winning Saanen dairy goats and make cheese that is distributed to various high-end food stores such as Whole Foods. They currently have over 100 goats, each of which they have named!

Brandon Keim

Brandon Keim is a Certified Tax Law Specialist, CPA, partner at Frazer Ryan Goldberg & Arnold LLP, and former Senior IRS Trial Attorney, Brandon Keim holds an LL.M. in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center.

Brandon joined Frazer Ryan after serving six successful years as a senior trial attorney with the Internal Revenue Service. At the IRS, he received the Chief Counsel National Award for Superior Achievement in Outstanding Litigation, and he was frequently recognized for his service as a trial attorney (see Case Results).

In 2015, Brandon successfully litigated the first Section 831(b) captive insurance case before the U.S. Tax Court; he litigated a second captive insurance case in 2016. For over four years, he oversaw and advised IRS attorneys and revenue agents auditing captive insurance transactions nationwide. Brandon also acted as an advisor to IRS attorneys on partnership and estate and gift tax matters and was an instructor at a national course designed to train new IRS trial attorneys on all aspects of practice.

Thomas Gorczynski, EA, USTCP

Thomas Gorczynski is the principal of Gorczynski & Associates, LLC, a Phoenix tax resolution firm.

He specializes in advanced tax planning strategies, tax preparation for individuals and businesses, international tax compliance, and tax problem representation. He gained his practical knowledge of tax law during five years of experience working on complex civil and criminal tax matters at tax controversy law firms.

Mr. Gorczynski has been an Enrolled Agent since 2009 and is admitted to practice before the United States Tax Court, an honor earned by only 300 non-attorneys in the United States. He is a Fellow of the National Tax Practice Institute as well as a member of the National Association of Enrolled Agents and the National Association of Tax Professionals.

Mr. Gorczynski is a nationally-known speaker on tax law and procedure. He provides education to other tax professionals at various live events throughout the year. Mr. Gorczynski earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Delaware, a post-baccalaureate certificate in finance and accounting from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and a Master of Science in Taxation from Golden Gate University.

Kerry Freeman, EA

Kerry Freeman is the owner of Freeman Income Tax Service in Anthem, AZ. He took over a 45+ year family tax practice in California before moving to Anthem with his wife Dallas in 2005.

As Public Relations Chair for the Arizona Society of Enrolled Agents, Freeman has actively developed the organization's social media presence and is nationally recognized as a social media advocate. He has used Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn to grow his tax practice.

Lin Leclair, E.A.

Lin Leclair, E.A. is owner and president of 1st Choice Tax Services in Tucson.

She majored in Accounting at the University of Maine. She has been working in the tax business for 25+ years and became an Enrolled Agent in June of 1995.

She is a frequent instructor for the state society of National Association of Enrolled Agents and the National Association of Tax Professionals. Lin currently is President of the Arizona Chapter of National Association of Tax Professionals.

She and her husband Dan are retired foster parents. They maintain involvement in Arizona’s foster care system by serving on several nonprofit and state agencies Boards that strive for the betterment of foster children.
